The Sun Does Not Burn at Night
Tartu New Theatre
Our smiles have mastered the art of obscuring, but our hearts long for morning.
Renate Keerd’s ninth production at Tartu New Theatre.
The creative core of Renate Keerd’s work has consistently focused on life and the human condition in all its absurdity and paradox – its possibilities and impossibilities. Her productions have been described as life-affirming, playful, and visually rich, reflecting social phenomena and processes in a distinctive, witty, and sensitive manner. Keerd has received numerous theatre awards, and her works have been performed in 15 countries across Europe, Scandinavia, and Asia.
